Your duties and responsibilities as Accountant are, including but not limited to the following: -
- Responsible for producing monthly P&L reporting and assist and support in preparing analysis for major expenses, management accounts, and yearly budget preparation eg - expense breakdown
- Able to handle full set of accounts and all financial reporting activities and ensure timely and accurate monthly closing, quarterly & yearly closing of account.
- Prepare inter company reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and monthly schedule (eg: fixed assets listing, prepayment, accruals listing & etc)
- Ensure invoice/ Debit/Credit Note is issued in a timely manner and update relevant invoices /CN/DN into the accounting system.
- Reconcile vendor statements of account and inter-company account.
- Process journals for month end performing variance analysis on performance as well as cost analysis cash flow management ie. monitor bank list and its utilisation.
- Ensure all accounting procedures and documentations, i.e. requisition form, purchase order, invoices, etc. are in proper order, completed and approved by the respective personnel before issuing payments.
- Liaise with external auditors on various accounting issues raised by external auditors on the finance matters.
- Liaise with project's Contract Executive/Manager-in-charge on the timely issuance of progress claim/invoice to client and follow up closely with client's person-in-charge on payment collection.
- To undertake any and all other duties and responsibilities as instructed by the superior.
- Assist superior(s) in the preparation of tax matters of the companies as and when assigned and taking relevant initiatives in relation to this work including the timely and accurate filings.
